Today was mostly classes, but we had a free evening, so we decided to wear yukatas / kimonos and go to a katsu-ya all dressed up.
So we first congregated in one of the lounges for a small photo-op, where we also tried to figure out how to get our obi on. I was having quite some trouble so I went to a Japanese girl and she fixed up the yukata for me. However, she did mine right-over-left, which is usually the way they’re put on dead people. Unfortunately I didn’t figure this out until later, it wasn’t a big deal, but she of all people should have known better. o_O
Then we took more pictures and walked all the way to the katsu-ya. It wasn’t all that far away, but my sandals were killing me.
After having our dinner, we went over to Baskin-Robbins and had some delicious ice-cream.
Wasn’t a bad day at all, although we missed the Freeman family’s fireworks while we were gone, which was somewhat disappointing.
